Definition
Repair of electronic devices such as computers, calculators and peripherals, including repair and maintenance of the following devices: desktop computers, laptop computers, magnetic disk drives, flash drives and other storage devices, optical disk drives (recordable CDs, read-only CDs, read-only DVDs and re-recordable DVDs), printers, monitors, keyboards, all types of mice, joysticks and devices, directional control balls, internal and external computer modems, dedicated terminal computers, host computers, barcode scanners, smart card readers and projectors, virtual display computers, computers linked to a central system that does not use mechanical devices, such as automatic tellers, non-mechanical point-of-sale (POS) services, handheld computers.

Foreign ownership

The Foreign Business Act B.E. 2542 (1999) restricts majority foreign ownership only for the activities named in its three annexed Lists. This activity is not among the mappings we hold, so a foreign investor can generally hold up to 100% of the equity, subject to any sector-specific licence and to minimum-capital rules (typically THB 2 million per restricted business, or THB 3 million where a Foreign Business Licence applies).
