Definition

Activities of organizers and producers of sports competitions, both with and without facilities, such as boxing competition organizers, football competition organizers, golf competition organizers, etc.

Excluded from this code

  • Organizing and operating outdoor or indoor sporting events for professional or amateur athletes by sports clubs with or without their own facilities, see subclasses 9311 and 9312.

Foreign ownership

The Foreign Business Act B.E. 2542 (1999) restricts majority foreign ownership only for the activities named in its three annexed Lists.   • US Treaty of Amity — US nationals may hold majority ownership in most activities, treated as Thai nationals for FBA purposes.
