Definition

Care activities in a place with accommodation and a regular caregiver for disabled children and youth, such as the blind, the deaf and the mute, etc. Care includes arranging rooms, boarding houses, monitoring and assistance with daily activities such as housework. In some cases, this service unit also provides nursing services from specialized nurses for residents who need accommodation. These activities include assistance with daily activities.

Excluded from this code

  • On-site care activities with regular caregivers for people with cerebral palsy. See activity 87201.

Foreign ownership

Not on the Foreign Business Act restricted lists.

The Foreign Business Act B.E. 2542 (1999) restricts majority foreign ownership only for the activities named in its three annexed Lists. This activity is not among the mappings we hold, so a foreign investor can generally hold up to 100% of the equity, subject to any sector-specific licence and to minimum-capital rules (typically THB 2 million per restricted business, or THB 3 million where a Foreign Business Licence applies).

  • US Treaty of Amity — US nationals may hold majority ownership in most activities, treated as Thai nationals for FBA purposes.
