Definition

Renting and leasing operations of machinery, equipment and other tangible goods not elsewhere classified, without a controller, which are generally used in the production of industrial goods, such as engines, steam engines, machine tools, mining and oil drilling equipment, radio, television and communication equipment, motion picture production equipment, measuring and control equipment, other machinery used in scientific, commercial and other industrial applications, leasing of accommodation or office containers, leasing of shipping containers, leasing of pallets, leasing of animals such as herds, race horses, etc.

Foreign ownership

The Foreign Business Act B.E. 2542 (1999) restricts majority foreign ownership only for the activities named in its three annexed Lists.   • US Treaty of Amity — US nationals may hold majority ownership in most activities, treated as Thai nationals for FBA purposes.
