Definition
Procurement and improvement of water quality for the purpose of producing tap water, improvement of water quality for industrial plants through the water supply system, operation of the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority and the Provincial Waterworks Authority, operation of the village water supply system, distribution of water for household and industrial use through the water supply system.

Foreign ownership

The Foreign Business Act B.E. 2542 (1999) restricts majority foreign ownership only for the activities named in its three annexed Lists. This activity is not among the mappings we hold, so a foreign investor can generally hold up to 100% of the equity, subject to any sector-specific licence and to minimum-capital rules (typically THB 2 million per restricted business, or THB 3 million where a Foreign Business Licence applies).
