Production of insulated electric wires and cables. The conductors are steel, copper or aluminum.

Excluded from this code

  • Manufacture (drawing) of conducting wire, see subgroups 2410 and 2420.
  • Manufacture of computer cables, printer cables, USB cables and similar cable assemblies or assemblies, see subgroup 2610.
  • Manufacture of extension cords, see subgroup 2790.
  • Manufacture of cable assemblies, cable ties and similar cable assemblies or assemblies for use in motor vehicles, see subclass 2930.

Foreign ownership

The Foreign Business Act B.E. 2542 (1999) restricts majority foreign ownership only for the activities named in its three annexed Lists.   • US Treaty of Amity — US nationals may hold majority ownership in most activities, treated as Thai nationals for FBA purposes.
