Definition

Manufacture of household articles made of metal, such as flat containers, plates, saucers, etc., hollow containers, pots, kettles, etc., tableware, cups, plates, etc., covered pans, frying pans and other non-electric utensils used on the dining table or in the kitchen, kitchen utensils with handles and other parts, metal scouring pads, such as steel wool.

Excluded from this code

  • Manufacture of tableware and kitchenware of plastics and ceramics, see activities 22291 and 23931.
  • Manufacture of knives, spoons and forks used for eating. See activity 25931.

Foreign ownership

The Foreign Business Act B.E. 2542 (1999) restricts majority foreign ownership only for the activities named in its three annexed Lists.   • US Treaty of Amity — US nationals may hold majority ownership in most activities, treated as Thai nationals for FBA purposes.
