Definition

Production of beverages with coffee, tea and herbal tea as the main ingredients, whether packaged in cans, bottles or other sealed containers, such as canned ready-to-drink coffee, UHT or bottled green tea drinks, bottled herbal tea drinks.

Excluded from this code

  • Manufacture of coffee, tea and herbal products for brewing as semi-finished or unprepared beverages, see sub-group 1076.
  • Manufacture of beverages based on milk. See activity 10501.

Foreign ownership

The Foreign Business Act B.E. 2542 (1999) restricts majority foreign ownership only for the activities named in its three annexed Lists. This activity is not among the mappings we hold, so a foreign investor can generally hold up to 100% of the equity, subject to any sector-specific licence and to minimum-capital rules (typically THB 2 million per restricted business, or THB 3 million where a Foreign Business Licence applies).
